Buena Vista Villa

Buena Vista Villa is an exquisite hillside villa and an exceptional vacation home. With over 2,100 sq ft of living space, two bedrooms with private en-suites and sitting rooms plus two gorgeous outdoor patios and spectacular views, this home is sure to delight those seeking a beautiful setting for a winter escape or summer vacation.

Through the front entry gate step into the private courtyard patio, beautifully landscaped with flowering bushes, desert cactus and palms, and furnished with comfortable wicker chairs, perfect for enjoying the mountain views with your coffee on a sunny morning.

Through the front door, the first thing you’ll notice is the view! Amazing! The great room is expansive and has wall to wall windows looking out to the Rancho Mirage valley and surrounding mountains. The wood-plank ceilings are gorgeous and span the entire great room. The oversized sectional sofa and easy chair are oh-so-comfortable and ideal for entertaining guest, watching TV or taking an afternoon siesta. A large smart TV can be angled for viewing anyway in the great room and has a Spectrum Cable app with a wide variety of channels. There is also a working fire & ice fireplace for the occasional chilly evening.

The dining area has seating for four and the kitchen has many recent updates including top of the line gas range, microwave and dishwasher. The cabinets are filled with everything you’ll need for preparing casual meals or entertaining guests.

Stepping through the back door onto the patio, you have perfect outdoor living. There is a seating area with sofa and two chairs with ottomans. There is also a chaise lounge, dining table that seats six and a gas BBQ grill. The back patio is beautifully landscaped with flowering bushes and has a spectacular view of the valley floor, golf courses and mountains.

A powder room is located just off the great room.

Buena Vista Villa is a perfect home for a couple with guests or two couples to share. With 2 private suites located on opposite sides of the home, it offers ideal separation and complete privacy.

To the west side of this vacation home is an oversized primary bedroom, a private retreat away from guests. The bedroom has been furnished with a luxury adjustable king bed, for comfort and mobility, assuring a very restful night’s sleep. There is also a large his & her walk-in closet with dresser, shelves and plenty of space to hang your clothes and store your luggage. An adjoining sitting room/office offers a private space to watch TV, work or just relax. There is a 60” smart TV with Spectrum Cable app that can be directed towards the bedroom for watch TV in bed or turned towards the desk to keep you company while working. The suite has three skylights with blackout blinds and a ceiling fan is located above the bed. Through French doors, you can step out into the entry courtyard, or just leave the doors open on a beautiful day. The en suite has a seated vanity with stool and a walk-in shower.

To the east side of this vacation home is a guest suite, also with a king size bed and a large 50” smart TV with Spectrum Cable app. Through French doors, you’ll step out to the back patio and spectacular views. There is a sizable closet with dresser, shelves and space for hanging clothes. The en-suite has a single sink, seated vanity with stool, walk-in shower and private w/c with pocket door. A designated sitting room completes the guest suite with comfortable furnishings, built-in bookshelves, writing desk and Roku TV with Spectrum Cable ap. Through French doors, you step out to the entryway.

The stacking LG washer and dryer are located in the hallway and directly across from the linen and storage cabinets on the east end of the home.

Buena Vista Villa is a bright sunny home with lots of natural light, beautifully appointed and squeaky clean. It has tile floors throughout for easy care and several area rugs for comfort. Most living areas feature the spectacular wood plank ceilings and plantation shutters, ceiling fans in the great room and primary bedroom and there are a few skylight/spots to bring in even more natural sunlight. All TVs have streaming capabilities, so don’t forget to bring your Netflix and Amazon passwords, and high-speed Wi-Fi, of course. This home does not have phones, but the owners may consider adding landlines with free US and Canada calling for reservations of three months or longer. Please inquire first.

There is a two-car garage with access through the courtyard. The owners store a private vehicle in the garage but there is still room to park one car in the garage and space for an additional two cars in the driveway.

There is a pool just one door down from the condo. Even though this community has 5 pools, only one is heated in the winter. The heated pool rotates from year to year and may be a car-drive away. Please inquire about pool heating prior to booking if this is an important concern. There are no hot tubs in Thunderbird Villas.

Thunderbird Villas is a prestigious gated community of terraced hillside condominiums. It is located just off HWY111 in the heart of Rancho Mirage and within close driving distance to dining, shopping and entertainment. It is about 11 miles to Palm Springs, 11 miles to Indio, 8 miles to the Palm Springs Airport and 7.5 miles to Interstate 10.

Note:  For summer rentals, May through the end of September, there is a $200/month cap on electricity. 

Tenant vehicles with commercial advertising must be parked inside the garage. Also, large vans such as the Mercedes Sprinter, campers and RVs are not permitted.

As in most gated communities, there are strict traffic rules and infractions are fined. Please inquire about rules and regulations.

SPECIAL NOTE: When planning your vacation, please take into consideration that there will be reseeding of golf courses and grassy areas in the desert during the months of September, October, and November. This means golf course closures, often for a month. If golf is part of your vacation, you will want to remember to ask about course closures. We will do our best to find out the closure dates or put you in touch with the golf club you are interested in, however, we are not affiliated with any of the golf courses and reseeding could be expedited or delayed due to weather or various reasons beyond our control. Neither the property owner or Vacation Rentals of the Desert can be held responsible for the closer of golf courses during your stay due to reseeding or other closures beyond our control.
