Silver Spur Ranch was established in 1957 in the cove just off Portola in Palm Desert.  It is greatly known for its spacious mid-century homes and was home to many celebrities in the 50s, 60s and 70s.  In recent years, many homes have been updated and modernized without losing the mid-century charm.  It is an area of beautiful, eclectic homes of high value.  The neighborhoods tend to be quiet and are reminiscent of years gone by.  The area is close to The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens and is a beautiful area for walking, close to hiking trails and has gorgeous views
