Desert Village in Rancho Mirage!

This charming vacation home has so much to offer. If you have visited Rancho Mirage, you have probably passed by Desert Village many times without noticing … it’s one of our little secrets. Located just off Bob Hope Drive, next to The River Complex and just across the street from the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, this hidden gem has easy walking access to restaurants, shops, a multi-plex movie theater, golf, tennis, pickle ball and one of the desert’s world class spas. Desert Village, a small community of 2 and 3 bedroom condos also has three heated pools, two hot tubs, an open tennis court and covered parking.

This 1,400 sq. ft. two level condo has two bedrooms, two baths and is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The living room has plenty of seating for family and guests and has a mounted “smart” cable TV and DVD player. The dining room can seat up to six comfortably and a very well-equipped galley kitchen overlooks the front entrance with cactus garden, palms and beautiful desert landscaping.

From the living room, a large west facing picture window looks out to the pool, spa and mountains beyond. This is perfect for when little one’s visit! Sliding glass doors lead to a private walled patio with a dining set that seat four, an umbrella for warmer days, and a propane BBQ. The patio also has an exterior door that leads to the pool, just a few steps away.

The upstairs loft bedroom is a spacious primary suite furnished with a king bed, day bed (two twins), large “smart” cable TV.  There is also a desk to set up your laptop with printer, but printer ink must be supplied by the guests. Through sliding glass doors, you’ll walk out to a small private balcony with seating and Southern Mountain views. This is a perfect spot to begin your day with a cup of coffee in the morning sun, or a glass of wine before bed under the stars! The en-suite has a combination shower/tub, linen storage and a large walk-in closet. The washer and dryer are also conveniently located upstairs.

A lovely guest room furnished with a comfortable queen bed is located downstairs. The guest bathroom is just outside the room and has a walk-in shower.

Amenities include “smart” cable TVs in the living room and master suite and high-speed internet. This home does not have land lines, so you’ll need your cell phone. There is also a covered parking area close by with additional open parking for guests.

This is a wonderful vacation home has all the comforts and amenities needed for an extended vacation. It is a beloved second home for the owners who spend portions of the season in the desert. It is well furnished and in excellent maintenance. It’s the perfect size for one or two couples and located in a small, friendly community. If you like to walk, you might not even use your car! This vacation home is close to multiple restaurants, shops and a multi-plex theater and just across the street is Rancho Las Palmas with a 27-hole golf course, 25 tennis courts and the renowned Omi Resort Spa!

Note:  For summer rentals, May through the end of September, there is a $200/month cap on electricity.
