Driving through Silver Spur Ranch with its mid-century homes, then pulling into your driveway is like taking a trip back to the 60’s!  It’s very surreal.  From the dramatic tiled entry and turquoise front door to the traditional 1960s breeze block carport, guests will be thrilled with the classic look and feel of this vacation home, inside and out. 

Inside, the home has been completely updated while keeping its true 1966 personality.   With dividing walls removed, the living room, dining room and kitchen have been combined to create an open floor plan with multiple sitting areas and stunning views from every window.   Its beautifully furnished with comfort in mind and has plenty of seating for family and guests around a sizable flat screen cable TV.  A second living area offers cozy seating by a fire & ice fireplace and the pub-height dining nook is not only perfect for family meals, but the owners have also supplied lovely serving ware for formal entertaining. 

But the kitchen is the “show-stopper” and focal point of the great room.  Updated in Euro-Sleek style, this gourmet kitchen will delight any chef.  It’s beauty and perfection in its simplicity!  The quartz counter tops, high-end stainless-steel appliance, industrial-grade gas range, microwave drawer and floating shelves are flanked by a wall of high gloss pantry cabinets providing a huge amount of storage space.  The kitchen island is the perfect spot for a glass of wine while visiting with the chef and enjoying mountain views through sunny windows.  A fun “Martini Cart” is stocked with glasses and shakers, ready for your “Apple,” “Lemon Drop,” or classic “Dirty Martini.”  The owners love to cook and entertain and have supplied a vast array of cooking and serving ware.  This kitchen is definitely a chef’s dream.

The primary bedroom is on the East wing of the home, or should we say, “the master retreat.”  It has been beautifully furnished with a king bed, sofa/sitting area, large flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, and has a walk-in closet and a luxurious spa quality en-suite with dual vanities and walk-in shower. 

The second, smaller primary suite and guest bedrooms are located on the West wing of the home.

The stunning second primary bedroom has been furnished with king bed, large flat-screen TV, ceiling fan and the en-suite has a single vanity and shower/tub combination.  This room also has direct access through sliding glass doors, to the poolside patio.

A third bedroom has been furnished with two twin beds, ceiling fan and is located across from the hall/guest bathroom (described below). 

The fourth bedroom has been furnished as an office/den.  This room has a desk for your laptop, ideal for a working vacation and a sofa that converts to a full-size bed for the occasional guest.  The room has a door that can be closed for privacy when used for sleeping.  There is also an Echelon Bike.  This is a high-end exercise bike with computerized programs and should not be used by children.  It is available for guests use if used with care.  There is also a ceiling fan and a free-standing fan which is perfect when using the bike!

The guest bathroom is quite unique and “inspired.”  It has direct access to the poolside patio making it idea to shower off after a swim.  Stepping from the patio through sliding glass doors, you’ll find yourself inside the walk-in shower.  Such a great amenity on a pool home!  Updated with beautiful tiled wall, dual vanities and the walk-in shower, this guest bath has ideal indoor-outdoor use.

The outdoor space in this home is amazing and has a Southern exposure providing sun all day long.  The pool is crystal clear and large enough for play or sunbathing on one of the floats the owners have provided.  There are multiple sitting areas tucked in every outside corner.  Chaise lounges, bucket chairs, outdoor living room and outdoor dining, surrounded by beautiful, lush landscaping.  Your outdoor chef will enjoy the propane BBQ and there are festive outdoor string lights that add ambience to evening dining al fresco.  This home offers the very best in indoor-outdoor desert living and entertaining.

If you’re visiting the desert for the sunshine and warm weather, there’s no better spot!  With Southern exposure on the back patio, sunny windows throughout and 270-degree mountain views, this home is perfect for your escape.

Newly furnished and supplied in the fall of 2021, both inside and out, the owners have provided every amenity you would expect to find in a 5-Star Rated Vacation Home.    The furnishings are high-end, and the towels, sheets and bedding are luxury quality. There are “smart” anti-glare flat-screen TVs in the great room, and both master suites with 175 channels including HBO, Showtime and CBS Sports Package.  (Some TVs have the Spectrum app which provides cable channels without a cable box.)  Spectrum also provides High-Speed Spectrum internet with 200mbp.  This home does not have land lines, but for out-of-country guests staying multiple months, the owners may consider installing.  Please inquire first.  A dedicated laundry room is located just off the kitchen.

Location!  Location!  Location!  It is short walking distance to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, hiking trails and parks.  You’ll also be within 3 miles of El Paseo Drive, dining, shopping, museums, theaters, golf and so much more!

SPECIAL NOTE: When planning your vacation, please take into consideration that there will be reseeding of golf courses and grassy areas in the desert during the months of September, October, and November. This means golf course closures, often for a month. If golf is part of your vacation, you will want to remember to ask about course closures. We will do our best to find out the closure dates or put you in touch with the golf club you are interested in, however, we are not affiliated with any of the golf courses and reseeding could be expedited or delayed due to weather or various reasons beyond our control. Neither the property owner or Vacation Rentals of the Desert can be held responsible for the closer of golf courses during your stay due to reseeding or other closures beyond our control.
